How to Withdraw Winnings Obtained with Bonus Money
Bonus money and winnings from a bonus are usually locked until the offer’s terms are met. Those terms are in the current promotion, not in a generic “you can definitely withdraw” promise.
This guide explains how wagering is counted, how contribution percentages work, and which other rules can still stop a cashout. The numbers below are illustrative only. They are not the terms of any named operator.
Wagering is qualifying stakes, not a win target
A wagering requirement is the amount of qualifying stakes you must place before bonus funds — and often the winnings from those funds — can be withdrawn. It is not the amount you must win, and it is not a guarantee that a balance will become withdrawable.
Example of how the requirement is sized (illustrative):
- You deposit €100 and receive a €100 bonus. The bonus balance is now €200 if the offer adds the bonus on top of the deposit.
- If the offer says 35× on bonus + deposit, the qualifying-stake requirement is 35 × €200 = €7,000.
- If the offer says 35× on the bonus only, the requirement is 35 × €100 = €3,500.
Those €7,000 or €3,500 figures are stakes that count toward the requirement. You do not need to win €7,000. You also do not keep playing “until you have won enough to withdraw.” The balance can go up or down while you place those stakes. If the bonus balance reaches zero before the requirement is finished, many offers simply end.

Contribution percentage: how much of a stake counts
Not every game contributes 100% of the stake toward wagering. The offer lists a contribution rate per game type.
Illustrative example:
- Remaining requirement: €800 of qualifying stakes.
- You place €800 of stakes on a game with 50% contribution.
- Counted progress: 50% of €800 = €400 toward the requirement.
- €400 of the requirement is still outstanding. The €800 you staked is not the same as €800 counted.
If the same €800 were staked on a game with 100% contribution, the whole €800 would count. Table games, live games and some slots are often listed at a lower percentage, or at 0%. A stake that does not contribute still spends the bonus balance.
Contribution is about the stake you place, not about the size of a win on that spin or hand. A win of €400 on a 50% game does not mean €200 of wagering is complete. Only the qualifying stake, multiplied by the listed percentage, reduces the requirement.
Other terms that can block a withdrawal
Wagering is only one line in the offer. The current terms also decide:
- Maximum bet while the bonus is active. A stake above that cap can void the bonus and the related winnings.
- Time limit. Unused bonus funds and unfinished wagering often expire on a stated date.
- Game contribution and excluded games. Some titles do not count, or count at 0%.
- Withdrawal terms. Minimum cashout, payment-method rules, pending-time, and whether a withdrawal cancels remaining bonus funds.
- Maximum cashout on some free-spin or no-deposit offers.
Identity checks (KYC) and using the same payment method for deposit and withdrawal are common before the first cashout. Those checks are separate from wagering progress.
Typical withdrawal steps — after the terms allow it
Only if the current offer and account rules allow a cashout:
- Confirm in the cashier or bonus wallet that wagering is complete and the bonus is converted or closed as the terms describe.
- Open withdrawals and choose an amount that is at or below the withdrawable balance.
- Choose a payment method the operator accepts for that cashout. Many sites send funds back to the deposit method when they can.
- Submit the request and keep the reference. Large amounts may be paid in parts or held for extra checks.
